With immense sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Paul Favaro announces his passing. After a tough battle against Glioblastoma Multiforme, Paul gained his wings January 11, 2025, at Maison McCulloch Hospice surrounded by his family.
Best friend and husband of 34 years to Nancy, and the most loving father to Selina and Alex.
Youngest son of Livio Favaro (predeceased) and Dora Favaro (nee Giroux). Little brother of Louis (Joyce), Dino (Roxanne), Francesco (predeceased) and Mario (predeceased). Big brother to Ann (Mike). Proud uncle Pauly to Nyssa (Guy), Joshua, Caleb (Amber), Hope, Anthony, Jessie, Jazmine, Maverick, Jackson, Shilah, Livia and Taaliya. Adored son-in-law of Paulina Neubert (predeceased) and Fred Neubert (predeceased). Endeared brother-in-law of Marilyn, Fred, and Debbie (Lee). Cherished nephew and cousin to many.
Paul was a proud tradesman, learning the trade of sheet metal work from his father, he dedicated 37 years to the trade. You could always find Paul in his favourite place, his garage. Listening to oldies with his cute pooch Pippa by his side. He was a social butterfly and was able to converse with anyone he crossed paths with. His down to earth, honest, and charming personality made him a wonderful friend, to which he had many. He always had everyone laughing with his dry and witty sense of humour. Paul had a huge heart; he cared deeply, and he showed that by helping others with tasks that he knew best. He was a natural and could take on any odd job, his jack of all trades experience was admirable. He took pride in everything he did, he loved his life and never took it for granted. His wife and children meant absolutely everything to him, and he made sure that everyone knew it. Even on the hardest of days, Paul had unreal courage and strength. He remained positive and never complained. He is a true warrior.
A sincere thank you to Paul’s circle of care – the doctors, nurses and staff at Northeastern Cancer Centre, Maison McCulloch Hospice, Bayshore Healthcare and Health Sciences North. A special thank you to Paul’s friend and Bayshore nurse, Kristy.
As per Paul’s wishes, cremation will be taking place at Jackson & Barnard. Remains to be buried in early spring. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In Paul’s honour, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice, Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, Autism Ontario or Pet Save, would be greatly appreciated.
We love you, Paul. Heaven is lucky to have gained such a beautiful angel.
May his spirit and laughter live on in memory until we meet again.
