It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of “Huron County’s Oldest Teenager” Paul Radford. In typical “RAD DAD” fashion and on his own terms but peacefully at his beloved stone schoolhouse, days before his 71st birthday. He was the adored husband and soulmate of the late Jo Ann (Potter) Radford for over 47 years. Cherished father of Ang Radford (Ted Sills). There was not a greater father/daughter bond than these two. They were two peas in a pod. Loving Poppa R of Blake Cooper (Cassidy Campbell), Mitch Cooper (Maggie Nixon), Ella and Leah Sills. Special buddy to Reece (Megan Lavis) and Hayden Potter. All, of these children were the apple of his eye. He will especially be missed by his in-law’s, Laurie Henderson (Sam), John Potter, Barb Potter, and Jason (Gillian) Potter. He was the dear brother of Mark Radford, Colleen Faulds-Walden (Peter) and Karen Van Dorp (John). Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mom Doreen DeJong, and in-law’s Joe and June Potter. Also predeceased by in-law siblings, Jamie Faulds, Doug and Cheryl Riehl, Nina Potter, and niece Krissy Riehl. Paul was a Jack of all trades who could fix anything. His skills were used at Champion Road Machinery for over 30 years. He was a biker at heart. One of his favorite past-times would be out on his Harley with Jo Ann on the back and Angie by his side touring the countryside. Another time well spent was playing pool at his pool table, especially on a Sunday afternoon with Laurie, Sam, and Hayden. He loved a good tour and a good time. His greatest accomplishment was Angie and her boys, and he was so proud of them all. He loved his family deeply. The family would like to thank everyone for their concern and support, especially over these past few months.
As expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Huron County Food Bank or the Local Humane Society.
A private family funeral will be held at a later date. Interment Baird’s Cemetery, Stanley Township.
