Patrick Bannon Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Patrick Joseph Bannon, age 71 of Stratford on March 18, 2025. Patrick was born June 2, 1953 in Stratford to Michael and Helen (Lobsinger) Bannon.
He was a loyal and loving husband to Adriana for 46 years and a dotting father to Michael, Joseph (Jessica) and stepfather to Rose. Grandfather of Josey, Shalene, Cody (Karly), Crystal (Dale), Jazlyn. Also survived by several great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Brother of Mary Bannon, Cathy Robinson (Terry). Brother-in-law to Anna Palone and Tony Paonessa.
Predeceased by stepson Dennis Morris, sister Eileen Barclay (David), brother-in-law Gimmie Palone, sisters-in-law Maria Sacco (Tony) and Francesca Paonessa.
Pat will be remembered for his lifelong work with Right to Life and the Roman Catholic Church. Many of those closest to him will continue to cherish his beautiful wood pieces as well as memories of his humour and steadfast faith.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, March 23, from 5-8 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be offered Sunday at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Monday, March 24, at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception in the parish hall. Memorial donations in Patrick’s memory may be made to Stratford and District Right to Life or Immaculate Conception Church. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
