On Friday, January 3rd, our loss was heaven’s gain, after we said goodbye to our treasured mom, grandmother, and friend.
Pat said her greatest accomplishment in life were her daughters Lisa, Lori-Anne (Roland) and Lynda (Peter).
She was a loving grandmother to David John, Elyse, Meaghan, Ben, Noah and Naveen. Dear friend to Paul, Mary Lou, Betsy and George. Loving aunt to Jeremy, and Sarah. She was an animal lover and sadly leaves behind her beloved cat, Gracie.
Patricia was a beautiful lady. She had so much class, style and flair. She was a creative person and it came through in her art, gardening and decorating. Her little cottage on Wasaga Beach provided her the love for the beach, water and nature – it was her heart and soul – it was home.
She was gorgeous on the outside and yet held a modesty and a sense of grace that made you realize the beauty went completely through her. Never one for center stage, she was content to see her family and friends shine but she was an accomplished salesperson, trainer and supervisor all during her stellar career with The Toronto Star. After retirement, Pat devoted much of her time, with her longtime partner Alan to the community of St. Albans, a historical church in the Hay Bay area.
Patricia had an unbridled courage these last few years as she navigated some challenging health conditions. As with every season of her life, Pat did not complain. She kept her smile and humour and so graciously accepted these trying circumstances. She was a true lady and will be missed by many.
Pat’s wishes were to be cremated immediately and a Celebration of Life will take place in May 2025, in the gardens at her family’s farm in Port Hope. Date to be announced.
