Obituary
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother Paola Renda (née Ponzo) at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee at the age of 88.
She was born in Vita, Sicily, Italy to Giovanna and Pietro Ponzo.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Giuseppe (Joseph) Renda in 2014. Loving mother to Catherine Renda- Moore (Jerry) and Joanne Kastias (Tom). Cherished nonna to Maria (Claudio), Paulina and Peter. Adored “Old nonna” to Jaxon.
Paola’s life was filled with love for her family, her many friends and for those whose lives she touched. She had a magic talent when it came to sewing and baking and many enjoyed the fruits of her labour. Her strong faith in the Lord allowed her to give those around her strength and courage. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paola’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
