Obituary
Pamela Darlene (Patriquin) MacAulay
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Pamela Darlene (Patriquin) MacAulay at home on Friday, March 7, 2025. Pams wishes were to remain in her home and recently celebrated her 78 th birthday with Family and Friends. Just as she lived as an independent woman on her own terms, she passed away on her own terms with dignity and grace surrounded by her loved ones. Pam faced her cancer diagnosis in October 2024 with the same bravery and grit she brought to all her experiences in life. Pam was born on February 22, 1947 in Eureka, Pictou County, NS to Sidney and Christena (Gillis) Patriquin. Raised in a large family with 11 siblings, they brought her great companionship and happiness throughout her life.Growing up on the Lake Road near Tatamagouche, NS she later ventured to Toronto, Ontario where she soon married the love of her life, Harold. She worked at Global Envelope and Hallmark Cards while also babysitting for Family. Pam and Harold both being “Maritimers”, decided to move back to Nova Scotia in 1974. Pam worked at Knolls Berrys and Oxford Frozen Foods. Wanting a better life for her Family she furthered her education, then completed the PCW course all while working at Sunset Adult Residential Home in Pugwash, NS. She truly cared for the Residents at Sunset and spent 34 years working alongside many wonderful co-workers. She enjoyed pulling many jovial pranks on each other all in good fun. Pam was very humble and had an admirable work ethic, enjoyed going for drives, listening to fiddle tunes and puttering around the yard. She had a passion for fixing anything and giving broken items a second chance. Pams true passion and success in life was her Family and Friends. They were everything to her. To know Pam was to whole heartedly love all 4’10” of her. Pam will be lovingly remembered by her son Brian (Deborah) MacAulay, Admiral Rock, NS, daughter Wendy MacAulay (David Hussey), Pugwash, NS.
