Olga Koch Obituary
KOCH, Olga
It is with deep affection and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Olga Koch, who left us peacefully on March 13, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born in Kamionka, Poland on August 1, 1933, Olga lived a life full of serving others. Through her faith, career as a nurse, and role as a mother and grandmother, she opened her home and heart to many. Her generosity, sense of humour, and warmth will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Olga is survived by her children, Bill Harrison (Trish), Darlene (Adrian), Elaine Fischer (Ron), Don (Renee), and grandchildren Ryan (Rachel), Casey (Mike), and Nicole. She was predeceased by her son David – July 17, 1969 and husband Rudolph – March 2, 2019. Olga fought bravely against dementia and alzheimers for many years, but she always retained her love for life and found joy in being surrounded by friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Rehabilitation Facility for their incredible faith-based care of Olga during her stay, as well as the palliative team led by Dr. Manser.
The Koch family will receive friends and family at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday March 21, 2025 from 1 – 2 p.m. Celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation. Online memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
