Normand Arsenault Obituary
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Normand Arsenault of Memramcook, at the CHU Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont on January 3, 2025. Born in Moncton on January 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Amand and Anna (Arsenault) Arsenault.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years Rachel, his daughter Lisa (Jeff) Furlong of Ste-Marie, NB, one son Michel (Petra) of Jasper AB, two grandchildren Chantal (Dryden) and Cameron (Hannah), one sister Cécile (Terry) LeBlanc, two brothers Claude of Moncton and David (Debbie) of Halifax NS, sister-in-law Laurane Arsenault of PEI, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Léonce.
Norm worked many years at CNR followed by several other jobs. His current job, which he very much enjoyed, was as caretaker of the St-Joseph cemetery in Memramcook, with his work partner and friend, Freddie LeBlanc.
Norm was very proud of his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life.
Norm was very considerate and always ready to lend a helping hand. He truly enjoyed teasing anyone he met. He had a passion for reading, going out to restaurants with Rachel and going on Sunday drives.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Wednesday January 8 from 1 to 3:30 pm and followed by a funeral service that will be held at the Saint-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church at 4:00pm. Interment will be held in parish cemetery
