MEMORIAL GATHERING
Levesque, Norman
June 8 1951 – February 1, 2025
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Norman Levesque in his
favourite place—Mazatlán, Mexico.
Norm lived a life full of love and dedication to family and friends. He was an avid golfer and traveler who found joy in being a snowbird, giving the perfect toast, and most of all, spending time with the love of his life, Jane. Affectionately known as “Pa,” to his grandchildren, he was the best. His warmth and humour will be deeply missed.
Throughout his long career with Union Gas and later as a Fuels Safety Inspector with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority, Norm made a lasting impact on many lives before retiring in 2023.
Norm is survived by his mother, Henriette Jermyn; his beloved wife of 36 years, Jane; and his children, Kristi Cassar (Steve), Jason (Nicole), Lisa and family. He will be dearly missed by his cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Ava. Norm is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Rob (Rhonda), Dan (Pauline), and Poun (Lexi); as well as his sisters-in-law, Cathy Wingrove (Gerry), Karen Luffman (Marty Hamilton-predeceased), and Shelley Squire. He leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close. Cremation has taken place in Mexico. Further details of a celebration of life will follow in the spring.
A special thank you to Scott and Tamara Bell and Ed and Anita Gillis, for their unwavering support and love in Mazatlán.
Norm will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A memorial gathering will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia, on Saturday April 26th, 2025, from 1p.m. until 3 p.m.
