Nola’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nola Lorelei Martin announces her passing in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 57 years.
Nola leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Roger; sons, Ryan (Robyn Hannaford) Winsor, Matthew, Michael; parents, Wilbur & Joy Winsor; brother, Leon (Patrick DiTomaso); plus a large circle of extended family & many friends.
Nola is predeceased by her parental grandparents, Garfield & Lena Winsor; maternal grandparents, Joseph & Effie Fudge.
Nola’s love for travel, especially to Disney, is well known. Her three boys, Ryan, Matthew and Michael, were her pride and joy and knowing that they will have those special memories of family trips in their hearts gave her great comfort. Nola believed in the importance of living life in the moment and not putting off what you could enjoy now for later. A legacy that will be honoured and one that will continue to be followed by her loving family.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the amazing nursing team and doctors who helped Nola at the Central Regional Health Centre, the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Nola spent a large part of her life caring for those at the time of their greatest need. By all accounts, the care and compassion Nola gave to her patients and residents was second to none. We are so grateful that at the time of her greatest need, Nola received that same level of care from those around her. A special thank you to Dr. John Campbell, April Strong and Nola’s angel on earth, Amanda Norris, who helped to make her wish to be home for Christmas and New Years a reality. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
