April 4, 1944 – May 9, 2025
It is with deep love and remembrance that we announce the peaceful passing of Nina Holt, born Nina Marie Oleyarchuk, on May 9, 2025, in Beamsville, Ontario, at the age of 81.
Born on April 4, 1944, in Arvida, Quebec, Nina lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, professional excellence, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was an independent woman who pursued her passion for justice by earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa, subsequently building a distinguished legal career practicing law in Ontario and Alberta. Nina was known among her colleagues and friends for her integrity and sharp mind.
After a fulfilling career, she retired to Grimsby, Ontario, where she embraced a slower pace of life, enjoying the simple pleasures and the beauty of the Niagara region. She was an avid reader and animal lover.
Nina is lovingly remembered by her brother, her cherished niece and nephew, and several grandnieces and grandnephews who brought her great joy. Her thoughtful nature and quick wit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
A private family gathering will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Nina’s memory.
Her journey on this earth has ended, but the impact of her kindness, wisdom, and grace will endure.
