Obituary of Nancy Pauline Stinson Philbin
Nancy Pauline Stinson Philbin (nee McLaughlin), passed away on January 31, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Bluewater Health.
Our Mom was born on October 7, 1938. A proud South-end Sarnian and life long parishioner of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Missing her in our lives are her children, Angela Eagleson (Brian), Kathleen Stinson Aslett, Natalie Stinson (Gary Fournier), Stanley Stinson (Lissa). She cherished her grandchildren; Marie- Claire Hogervorst (Simon), Luc Legault, Annette Legault, Breanna Murphy (Rhys), Austin Aslett, Remy Fournier, Joseph Stinson and Lilly Stinson, Mom was blessed with great grandchildren; Petronella (Nellie), Joseph (Joey) and Vivienne Hogervorst. Special step grandmother to Joel Eagleson (Pamela), Andrea Milliken (Dennis) and their children; Anna, Molly, Adelle, Lily and Colin.
Mom’s interests included the Catholic Women’s League, IBEW 530 retirees and The Sandpiper book club.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Dreda Elizabeth and Walter McLaughlin, her husbands Stan Stinson (1995) and Kenneth Philbin (2014), brothers Richard (2003) and Calvin (2025) McLaughlin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Sarnia on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Lunch to follow at 1:00 pm. at the Sarnia Legion 62, Front St. Sarnia. Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd.
