Obituary of Nancy Kominek
Kominek: Nancy Jean (née Lawson) –
A life long resident of Chatham-Kent, Nancy Kominek passed away at the Omni Healthcare Country Terrace, Komoka on January 3, 2025 at the age of 87.
Born in Blenheim, Nancy was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (née Humphreys) Lawson.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Kominek (2011).
Dear mother to Brian Kominek (Sheila), Janet Kominek and Susan Graham (J.D.)
Sister to Thomas Lawson (Norma) and Margaret Lassaline; sister-in-law to Pat Lawson and Chris Lawson
Predeceased by her brothers William and Harry Lawson and her brother-in-law Thomas Lassaline.
Nancy’s family and friends, which were always most important to her, will forever remember her for her love of gardening, quilting and tole painting. She was a Nurse and when she retired she continued to teach Nursing at St. Clair College.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Donations made in memory of Nancy to the First Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
