Nancy Leah Sanipass
1966-2025
ELIPOGTOG, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the passing of Nancy Leah Sanipass 58, of Elsipogtog
on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University
Hospital in Moncton. Born in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, she was the
daughter of the late David Sanipass and late Evelyn (Joseph)
Sanipass. Nancy was a strong business woman and known as
“Boss Lady” in her community. She volunteered much
of her time supporting community fundraisers, she loved music,
karaoke, singing “La Bamba” and she was the owner of her own
fishing boat for from her late husband, Darren.
Nancy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kachina Nevin of
Elsipogtog; step-daughter, Joella Augustine (Grant) of Elsipogtog; one
son, Dray Sanipass of Elsipogtog; nine grandchildren; five great
grandchildren and her very special long time best friend, Ruth
Levi.
She is also survived by six sisters, Norma Milliea (late
Joe), Anna Levi (Terry), Leanna Sanipass, Eva Sanipass all of
Elsipogtog, Martha Levi of Milford, NS, Rena Simon (Jeffery) of
Elsipogtog; three brothers, George Sanipass (Jennifer), Glen Sanipass
(Angel), John Sanipass (Pauley) all of Elsipogtog and one aunt,
uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many Godchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Darren; one daughter, Monica Joy; one sister, Shirley and two
brothers, Hubert and Malcolm.
Visitation will be held at her home, 233 Big Cove Road,
Elsipogtog beginning on Saturday at 2:00 pm until time of the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday,
February 3, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic
Church in Elsipogtog.
