Obituary
BELL, Nancy – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family, Nancy Louise Bell, nee Cramm, of London, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, age 74. Loving mother of Jeffrey (Jill) Bell and David Bell. Dear grandmother to Rachel, Cody and Kingsley. Also loved by brother John (Carol Anne) Cramm and sister Elizabeth MacArthur. Aunt of Stephanie (Jason) Barton, Michael Cramm, Andrea (Steve) Moyer, and Matthew MacArthur and Meagan (Filipe Pedrosa) MacArthur. Also loved dearly by Uncle David Meriam, many cousins and several great-nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a strong advocate for education and the life opportunities it brought for all. She worked as an elementary school teacher and later a consultant at the Thames Valley District School Board. After retirement Nancy became active in the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario at both the local branch level and as President of the Provincial organization. With her strong faith, she enjoyed participating in several church groups such as the Altar Guild, Sunday School, as Church Warden and organizing numerous annual charity drives. Her home life consisted of hosting many family celebrations, activities with her children and one-on-one ‘grandma time’ with her grandchildren. In addition, fishing, camping, and a rousing game of bridge or euchre were always welcome.
A special thanks to all of the caregivers at Victoria Hospital Palliative Care and Oncology Unit and St. Joseph’s Hospice for the kindness shown to Nancy and family.
Visitation on Sunday, April 27th from 2-5PM at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. The funeral service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 280 St. James St. at Wellington, on Monday, April 28th at 11AM. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (Altar Guild or Saturday Evening Meal Program) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
