Obituary of Naame Said Bakhos
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Naame Said Bakhos, surrounded by her family on December 30, 2024, in Windsor, at the age of 68.
Cherished mother of Theresa Bakhos (Brian Anderson), Sarkis Bakhos, Tony Bakhos (Danielle Fuschi), and Joseph Bakhos (Nicole Bryce). Dear Sitou of Anthony, Adriana, and Alaina Bakhos.
Beloved sibling of Youseef, Antonios, Semaan, Salim, and Boutros and their families in Australia; her twin sister Naemeh, her sister Marie, and their families in Lebanon.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Said Bakhos, her parents Roumanos and Theresia Touma, and her older brother Michel.
She will be sadly missed by many more family members and friends around the world.
Naame was born on September 7, 1956, in Bhabbouch, El Koura, North Lebanon. She was the eldest girl in a family of nine, helping her mother raise her younger brothers and sisters while studying to be a seamstress. In 1978, she married her husband, Said Bakhos, and moved to Canada to start a new life.
In her early years, Naame was a great hostess at top local restaurants and offered her seamstress services. She later became a wonderful mother of four and a dedicated homemaker, instilling good values and sharing Lebanese culture with her children.
She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, knitting crochet and shopping for her love of crazy hats. Naame loved to laugh and make everyone around her laugh, smile, and be happy.
Visitation will be held at St. Charbel Parish (5700 Outer Dr.) on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 10am until the Time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (519-253-7234).
