Murphy’s Obituary
Passed peacefully away at his residence on Friday, February 7, 2025, Eugene Joseph Murphy of Sibley’s Cove, age 84 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, caregivers: Brenda Smith and Michael Rodgers; Eugene had many special caregivers throughout the years: Brenda Martin Rodgers; Bob and Marg Eddy and their families who he dearly loved; Michael, Christian, and Tyler who he considered his brothers; his buddies and respite workers: Beverly Button, Karen Clarke, Melissa Rodgers, Corenna Doyle, and Trina Rodgers; special friends: Bobby Pittman and Robert Moore.
Eugene made many friends along the way. He loved telling stories, jokes, writing in his books, playing guitar, and belting out a song. He brought a smile to everyone who knew him. Eugene lived a very fulfilling life and will be forever missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing him.
Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Main Road, Winterton on Thursday, February 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and burial to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Sibley’s Cove United Church, c/o Wilfred Button, P.O Box 87, Sibley’s Cove, NL, A0B 1H0.
