WINGER, Muriel Verona (January 16, 1931 – February 28, 2025)
Passed away peacefully, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, February 28th, 2025, Muriel (Bradt) Winger a resident of Port Dover and formerly resident of Delhi at the age of 94. Born in Leamington, Mercy Township, Ontario daughter of the late George Bradt and the late Letha (Taylor) Bradt. Muriel was an avid gardener, and she took great pride in her annual gardens. Muriel had great love for all her family. Beloved wife of 63 wonderful years to the late Walter Winger, a retired OPP officer in Norfolk, who predeceased her (June 6th, 2012). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of: a son Paul (Linda) and a son Tim, all of Port Dover and a daughter Pamela (Toby Miller), Beaumont, Texas, U.S.A. Proud and loving grandma of: Jay, Christopher, Melissa, Sarah and Sean and loving great-grandma of: Liam, Chelsea, Monique, Maia, Alex, Callie, Amos, Archer and Hunter. Survived by a sister Viola Partington, Thorold (the late Donald), and a sister Marilyn Anderson, Tillsonburg (the late Harry) and a brother-in-law John Roloson, Port Burwell (the late Audrey) and a brother-in-law Wayne Scruton, Tillsonburg (the late Cora). Muriel is predeceased by a sister Juanita (and the late Marvin Smyth), Leonard John Bradt (and the late Vera). Also predeceased by a brother Andrew ‘’Andy’’ Bradt (and the late Leone); a brother Charles Bradt (and the late Louise); a sister Georgia (and the late Glen Manchester); and a brother Jim Bradt. Special aunt of several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg, to meet with the family. Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Muriel Verona (Bradt) Winger will take place on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg, by Pastor Troy Van Ginkel of the Bayham United Church, Straffordville. Interment will follow in the St. Luke’s Cemetery, Vienna. All funeral attendees are welcome to attend a reception in the Bayham United Church, Straffordville, immediately following the interment.
