Muriel Guerin (Sabourin) of Peterborough, Ontario (formerly Alexandria, Ontario), passed away on February 14th, 2025, in the hospital, after a long battle with several cancers and COPD, in her 83rd year. Devoted wife of the late Brian Guerin. Loving daughter of the late Mary Sabourin (Willard) and George Sabourin. Dear mother to Gisele and Shawn, and devoted grandma to Sophia and Luke. Predeceased by her sisters Armanda, Isabel, Ruby, Marie, Sarah, Christina, and brothers George, Donald, Robert, Medy, and Boniface. Survived by sisters Dorothy, Teresa, and Gisele. Will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Enjoyed spending time with family, reading, sewing, knitting, and going out socializing with her husband. Will be remembered for her strength in adversity and kindness. Special thanks to the palliative care staff at PHRC D2 for their professionalism and care in helping Muriel’s passing be a more comfortable one. Aquamation will take place. A joint celebration of life will be held for Muriel Guerin and her sister Armanda Malloy, on April 27th, 2025 from 11am to 3pm at RCL Branch 52, 1550 Lansdowne St. W, Peterborough.
