Muriel Earle

Muriel B. Earle (Betty)
December 4, 1927 – March 3, 2025
It is with a great deal of sadness for the family of Betty Earle to announce her passing on March 3/2025 at the age of 97.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Alan, her daughter Trudy Mason (Ben), her brother Jack Condon (Bert), her sister Paddy Primeau (John), and her brother Don Condon (Myrna).
Betty is survived by her son Jim (Lynn); grandchildren James Earle (Michelle), Kent Earle (Darcie), Melanie Lynchuk (Ryan), Kathleen Mason, Sherre Mason; her sister Marlene Knobel (Alden); great-grand children Edwin, Julianne, Jude, Lulu, Monroe, Townes; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.
Betty and Alan were married in 1949, and lived in Holiday Park until they moved to Montgomery Place in 1958. They enjoyed the community lifestyle in Montgomery Place and stayed until 1970 when they bought 80 acres on Preston Ave. (Half an acre wasn’t enough?) Betty and Alan lived there for 45 years, enjoying all the gatherings they had with family and friends.
Betty worked in the payroll department at Intercontinental Packers for 25 years and made many long-lasting friendships. When she retired, her friend Stella Seib and her travelled for the next 10 years or more. They went to the Far East, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and went back to some places 2 or 3 times. Whether riding camels in Australia, walking on the Great Wall of China, or floating down a river to the market in Thailand, Betty loved to travel.
Betty was a lifetime member of the Saskatoon Craft Guild, and created many rugs, petite point, raw wool sweaters, and various needlework projects, but her passion became greenware. Betty had a craft room and a kiln in the basement of their house on the acreage.
Betty also worked part-time in the gift shop at the WDM for 20 years after retirement. She was their best customer.
The family would like to thank the staff at RUH for their care, and to the staff at St. Paul’s palliative care unit for their kindness and compassion. Thank you to Dr. Woloschuk, Dr. Johnson, Chantal, and Kristin. Special thanks to long-time friend Betty Butler and all the staff at Riverside Luther.
A family service will be held at a later date.
