Obituary of Monika Claudia Little
The family of Monika Claudia Little (nee: Tusch), of Komoka and formerly of Toronto and Lambeth, are extremely sad to mourn the passing of our beloved sister on Friday, September 5, 2025, in her Country Terrace Home with caring people all around her.
Monika will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Karin Tusch (Heinz Soffel) and recently her youngest brother Richard Tusch (August 22, 2025). Monika is survived by her brothers Glenn (Cathy), Mario (Eve), and her sister Vera (Fred Geiger) and her many nieces and nephews.
Born in Meisenhein, Rheinland, Germany, she immigrated to Canada in 1953 and became a Canadian Citizen in 1977 and was very proud of this fact.
Her early years were spent in Lambeth, on the family farm, looking after her siblings, learning about animals and attending a one room schoolhouse.
Monika’s youth was full of adventure and excitement by moving to Toronto as a teen. She finished school, worked in sakes, did hairdressing, taught yoga, and danced with a real zest for life. During this time, she developed a lifelong friendship with Gail and met her true love Russ Little while enjoying the music of a band called “Lighthouse”.
Moni was always stylish, glamourous and “put together”. She was married twice, yet bore no children, however her real family were her pets. Throughout her life she was a staunch animal activist, supporting many causes financially. She worked tirelessly caring for creatures that had no voice. From adoption, fostering or catching feral cats, her passion consumed her life.
Monika was well read and had a curiosity about the world. She was very spiritual and connected to the earth. Her feelings, insights, and psychic ability touched many lives. Monika lived her life on her own terms, independent, graceful, kind, generous and always fashion forward. We will genuinely miss her little smile, infectious laugh and unique spirit. Rest peaceful sweet Moni.
As per Moni’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
