Obituary of Mohammad Kajan
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mohammad “Hammy” Kajan on February 6th, 2025 at the age of 71. Ham’s greatest love and accomplishment was his son Danny, who will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind Danny’s wife Dana, Danny’s mother Helen Bezeau Kajan and his three granddaughters Brinley, Tristan and Presley Kajan. He was a much loved son, father-figure, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Ham was passionate about his work and took pride in his monumental inscription business, being recognized by many as the best engraver around in his 52 years of work. His favourite quote about being the “finalizer” was the fact that “the original customer never complained”. The depth of his kindness knew no bounds, he made time for everyone he met. There wasn’t a single person that he came across that wouldn’t have felt his warmth, caring nature and infectious spirit. His unique sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day and his ability to fall asleep anywhere, anytime brought laughter to many. He wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn’t afraid to have a good cry. He loved his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, his monument work, and Double-Doubles from Tim Horton’s, but most of all, his one and only son, Danny.
The world has lost one of the great ones.

Visitation will be held at the Evans Chapel, 648 Hamilton Road, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
