Obituary of Mitchell John Fedorowski
It is with great sadness, the family of Mitch (Mitchell) John Fedorowski announce his sudden passing on March 12, 2025. Mitch was born in Chatham, Ontario, on June 11, 1949. He obtained his engineering degree at the University of Western Ontario and dedicated 50 years to a successful and respected career as a Mechanical Engineer. His professional journey led him and his family to move to the United States. Mitch had a lifelong passion for playing hockey and took great pride in his position as goalie. He was an avid golfer, skier and soccer player in his earlier years. In 2021, Mitch and his wife, Debby, relocated to Myrtle Beach to pursue their dream of coastal living. During his years of retirement, he and Debby embraced their love for travel, venturing to destinations across the country and around the world. One of Mitch’s greatest joys came in 2020 and 2021 when he was honored with the cherished title of “Papa” to his grandchildren Tatum and Tilden. A role he treasured with all his heart.
Mitch was deeply loved, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts. Beloved husband and best friend of Debby (Finkbeiner), sharing 42 beautiful years of marriage. A devoted father, cherished by his daughter, Lindsay (Tom) Spadora, and his son, Michael Fedorowski (Kayleah St. Pierre). A proud Papa to his grandchildren, Tatum and Tilden. Profoundly missed by his sister, Wanda (Felix) Jercha; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Peter) Pedden-Boyce; Karen Finkbeiner; Jenny (Pete) Jansen. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Predeceased by his loving parents, Mike and Stefania Fedorowski; his brother, Ed (Karen) Fedorowski; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Muriel Finkbeiner; and brother-in-law, Archie Pedden – all who will embrace him once again.
Mitch was an extraordinary person in every way, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man of great integrity and dedication, always leading with compassion, humility and deep love for his family and friends. Mitch accomplished so much in his lifetime, but his greatest legacy was the love, kindness and wisdom he shared. His presence was a blessing, and in every way, he was simply one of a kind.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Dennings of Strathroy with a memorial service to honor Mitch at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will follow this service.
Later, a Private Family Interment will take place at the cemetery.
