It is with heavy hearts that the families of the late Millicent Donetta Gillingham announce her passing on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at the Corner Brook Long-Term Care, Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 81 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Ivan (Valerie) Gillingham, Pamela (Roger) Combdon, Dale (Colleen) Gillingham, Debbie (Charles) Tokam, Valerie (Mikael) Mantyla, Leonard (Esther) Gillingham, Remona (Kerry) Pittman, and Kirby (Mindy) Gillingham, and her Daughter-in-law Lori Gillingham. Grandchildren; Daniel Gillingham, Victoria Matechuk, Noah Gillingham, Chantelle White, Stephen Combdon, Grant Gillingham, Jenna Mackenzie, Brandon Pinksen, Blair Pinksen, Jonathan Gillingham, Melissa McKenzie, Joshua Mantyla, Jenelle Mantyla, Clara Packham, Cameron Pittman, Logan Pittman, Amber Gillingham, and Isaiah Gillingham, her great grandchildren; Thomas, Gabriel, Molly, Finley, Davis, Wells, Jude, Jacob, Carter, Charlotte, Chase, Leah, Morgan, Sophia, Ava, and Malachi, her siblings; Betty Pilgrim, Leonard (Janette) Pilgrim, Albert (Marjorie) Pilgrim, Fred (Carol) Pilgrim, and Murdock Pilgrim.
Millicent was predeceased by her husband; Calvin Gillingham, her parents; Clara and Wesley Pilgrim, her son; Morgan Gillingham, her grandson; Brian Pinksen, her brothers; Samuel Pilgrim, Aubrey Pilgrim, Eric Pilgrim, Levinia (Walter) Richards, Blanche (Bill) Green, Alice Hedderson, Evelyn (Harold) Adams, her mother and father-in-law; Job and Bessie Gillingham. Sister-in-law Darlene Pilgrim.
Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the Sop’s Arm Pentecostal Church in Sop’s Arm, NL, on Wednesday January 22nd, 2025, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday January 23rd, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Jamie Payne officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery, in Sop’s Arm, NL.
A big thank you to the staff of the Main River Retirement Home in Pollard’s Point, NL, and the staff of 2 North at the Corner Brook Long Term Care, Corner Brook, NL, for the compassionate care of our loved one.
Flowers or donations to the Sop’s Arm Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
