It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Mildred Ruby Angus, age 95, of
Amherst. Mildred passed away peacefully at Centennial Villa
on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of
the late Mainsworth and Florence (Irving) MacDonald.
Mildred was an active member of the
Renwick United Church, Linden, acting as an elder for the church, a
former member of the UCW, and a Sunday school teacher.
Retirement allowed she and her husband Albert to travel around North
America.
She will be dearly missed by her sons,
Eric, Ottawa, Keith (Sheila), Linden, Paul (Dorothy Vandenburg),
Pugwash; daughters Barbara Copp, Amherst, Gail Crosthwaite, Amherst,
Nancy (Clarence) MacLennan, Cape Breton, Janet (Bill) Tower, Beckwith,
Linda (Alan) Mattinson, Amherst; son in law Mike Masters, Oxford;
several grand, great grand and great great
grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Albert
in 2017; daughter Karen Angus; 3 grandchildren; son in laws Vernon
Crosthwaite and John Copp; daughter in law Peggy Angus; brothers
Irving, Edison, Dave, Lloyd, Alden, Russell, Percy; sister Thelma
Bird.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place. from
1 until 2 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025, followed immediately by her
funeral service at 2 pm, Rev. Ruth Gamble officiating.
Burial will take place in the Renwick United Church Cemetery, Linden,
NS in the spring.
Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of Mildred may do so to the Renwick United Cemetery Fund of
Linden, or a charity of your choice.
