Passed away peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Millie in her 99th year, beloved wife of the late Wilbert (Bill) McLeod Wilkinson. Dear mother of Barb and George Vaughan, Nancy and Peter Duff, John and Debbie Wilkinson. Proud grandmother of Jenn and Mike, Amanda and Chris, Ashley (D), Lindsay and Will, Matthew, Ian and Kirsten, Grace and Troy. Cherished great grandmother of Maddy, Ellie, Piper, Cameron, Matthew, Tim, Flo, Winnie, Emma, Ivey, Liam, Theo and a new little boy on his way. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Millie dedicated her life to her family and the Cheltenham community she shared with Bill on their dairy farm. Serving as a teacher, an Elder in the Cheltenham United Church, 4H Homemaking club leader, member of the Women’s Institute & UCW, volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, Caledon Heritage Committee and Secretary/Treasurer of the Boston Mills Cemetery for many years. Millie’s love of gardening and nature has been passed along through the generations. Her raisin scones and cinnamon pinwheels were always the first to be sold out at local bazaars and fundraisers.
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date with committal in Boston Mills Cemetery.
