HAMILTON, Mildred Audrey
It is with deep sorrow but filled with cherished memories, that we announce the passing of Audrey Hamilton (nee Linnen) on February 16, 2025 at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Erwin Hamilton she was a mentor, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Originally from the village of Iroquois, daughter of the late Bruce Linnen and Edith Adams. She leaves behind her children Garnett (Karen), Janet and Mark (Leslie), her grandchildren Ryan and Sarah Hamilton, Kyle Lowe and great-granddaughter Raelynn Lowe. She dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse, farmer and active community member. She had a passion for flowers, gardening, small business and showing Clydesdale horses. Some of her happiest times were spent preparing horses for the show ring or driving a team at the Navan Fair, and other fall fairs in the Ottawa Valley. She and Erwin were among the founding members of the Ottawa Valley Clydesdale Association. She walked with Tony and Duke, the lead team of the world-record 50 Horse Hitch in 1995. A special thanks to the staff of the third floor at the Monfort Hospital for their wonderful palliative care during her final week. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 1-4 pm on Sunday February 23. In lieu of flowers donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at www.daleyffh.ca
