Michael Joseph Eiers passed away peacefully surrounded by love and kindness on January 16, 2025 in Saanichton, BC at the age of 90. Mike was born on July 5, 1934 in Rural Gimli Manitoba where he lived on the family farm in Berlo. He learned at a young age to do things with care, laughter and an exceptional work ethic. One of his fondest memories was working out on the farm along side his father and siblings and his mom arriving with a hearty meal. He moved from the farm to start a career in Finance while maintaining his love for animals and the outdoors. He was always happy to help others and took great care when doing so. He enjoyed country music, woodworking, playing tennis and baseball, watching the Blue Jays and a good meal. Mike had a smile that could light up a room and he touched the hearts of many.
Mike is survived by his daughter Kelly; grandchildren Kira, Lindsay and Daniel; great grandchildren Audrey, Jane, Norah and Bennett and brother Tony (Cecelia).
Our entire family will miss him dearly. We are comforted knowing he is with his loving family and other loved ones who passed before him who also brought him so much joy.
