Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side.
Reunited with her loving husband Michelangelo (2012). Adored mother to Carmela (Andrew) Papp and Dominic (Pamela) Coletta. Cherished Nonna to Derek (Cody), Aaron (Sonia), Colette (Kalen), Michelangelo (Kelly), and Christian (Lindy). Loving Nonnina to Carter, Maddox, Beckett, Celina, Lily, Maeve, Leo, Callum, and Keely. Dear sister to Maria (late Giovanni) Carlone and predeceased sisters Gisberta (Michele) Sbrocca, Incornata (Giuseppe) Coletta, and brother Nicolangelo (Lucia) Gambatesa. Also pre-deceased by her sister in laws, Rosina and Antonietta Coletta and Palmina (Frank) Cirino.
Michelina always enjoyed cooking her homemade pastas, sauce, pizza and bread for her family. She was a fun loving Nonna who found joy in playing and singing while spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted Catholic who walked to church every week before Sunday lunches with her family.
Michelina was a very kind and gentle person who will be lovingly missed by her many cousins, nieces and nephews, especially Angie (Tim) Warnock.
Special thank you to the personal support workers who helped care for Michelina especially Lena, Brittany and Brianna.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to Salvation Army or any local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
Visiting will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm at Families First South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave. Windsor, ON. 519-969-5841). On Saturday, January 4, 2025 family and friends are invited directly to Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. W. Windsor, ON) for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for Entombment to follow.
