It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Michelina Bruno who left us peacefully, surrounded by her family in her 95th year. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be profoundly missed.
Michelina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a home that was a sanctuary of love and warmth. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all she did.
She had a passion for cooking and always made sure there was an extra chair at the table, ready to welcome anyone who might stop by. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy, where delicious meals were prepared with love and shared with family and friends.
Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and faith. She leaves behind a family who adored her and countless memories of her kindness and hospitality. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Michelina is forever reunited with her husband Antonio. Cherished mother of Charles (Enza), Sam (Grace) and Alfonso (Heather). Adoring grandmother to Anthony (Genna), Michelle (Cory), Alexander (Rosy), Kyle, Samantha (Lucas), Anthony and Zachary and great grandmother to 6 with one on the way. Devoted daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Alfonso and Gerlanda Sciarrabba and the late Calogero and Antonina Bruno. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Giuseppe (late Maria), late Francesca (late Antonio), late Alfonsa (late Gino), Lorenzo (Dina), Calogero (late Francesca), late Rosetta (late Rene), Gerlando (Carmelina), Carmelo (Maria), Maria (Giuseppe), the late Alfonso (late Calogera) and the late Salvatore (late Calogera). Michelina will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, United States, Italy and Belgium.
Special thanks to the staff at Idlewyld Manor for the exceptional care they provided, especially the staff of the Resident Area of Spruceview.
Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL; 43 Barton St. E., on Wednesday, April 2nd from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Souls Parish (21 Barton St. W.), on Thursday April 3rd, 2025 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
