Obituary of Michael Vance
It is with tremendous sadness that we share the sudden passing of Jonathan “Michael” Scott Vance, age 33, of Foxbrook , Nova Scotia . Michael was born in New Glasgow, a son to Richard Vance and the late Janet Vance (MacKay).
Growing up in Foxbrook, Michael attended Northumberland Regional High School graduating in 2008. Later, Michael went on to worked at the Fast Fuel while attending NSCC where he graduated as a pipe fitter.
Michael was a kind gentle man with a special sense of humour and will be missed by so many including his beloved pets (Tonka, M.J, Freddy and Dolly).
Michael leaves behind his father Richard Vance, his partner Tessa Hotson and her daughter Destry. His sister Shauna Maxwell (Jay Nauss), nieces Kayla Maxwell (Mike Pottie), Madison Maxwell-Nauss, great nephew Jackson Pottie, Aunt Debbie MacKay as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Thank you to Michael’s life long best friend Daina MacNeill for always being in his corner.
Michael was predeceased by his mother Janet Vance (MacKay), great nephew John, grandparents Christena and Alvin MacKay, and Donald and Sarah Vance.
The family will have visitation on Saturday February 22, 2025 at 1pm from Eagles Funeral home, with the funeral to follow at 2pm. Family flowers only.
Donations in Michael’s memory can be made to North Nova SPCA.
