Michael “Mike” O’Donnell Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael “Mike” Edward O’Donnell, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, after a long courageous battle with COPD. Born on August 19th, 1962, in Saint John, he is the son of Elizabeth (Ingersol) and the late Patrick O’Donnell.
Mike worked for Kate-Lynne Courier for over 18 years and loved to be behind the wheel of his flat bed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling at the camp. He was never without his sidekick Sadie, his beloved dog.
Along with his mother, Mike is survived by his loving and devoted partner of 28 years Monique Doucet; step-daughter Melissa Bonner and step-granddaughter Desiree; sons Alex Lemmon (Ashley), Nicholas O’Donnell, Michael O’Donnell, grandsons Jackson and Jameson; brothers Jody O’Donnell (Tracy) and Wayne O’Donnell; sister Heidi O’Donnell; aunt Shirley; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his father, Mike was predeceased by his brother Patrick.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, March 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Tuesday, March 4th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue, The Lung Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
