Michael was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary (Kinsella) Myers, his big brother Parker and niece Cassandra Doucet.
Michael is survived by his daughter Terra (Dartmouth). He is also survived by his three sisters Eileen (Kevin) Trenton, Ontario, Diane (Kirk) Porters Lake and (as he called her “The Baby” Cathy of Dartmouth. He will be missed by his best friends John and Mariah, who he confided in most often.
Michael was looked up to by his nephews Jamie, Chris, Mike and Ryan, whom he loved dearly. He was so proud of the men they had become.
We are so grateful he got to meet his great nieces Parker Clare, Rosie Jo and Stevie Di.
Michael was an avid pool player, having played for many leagues and in many tournaments – winning some and losing some but mostly winning. “He was a hell of a player.”
Michael worked for Atlantic Cans (Woodside) until it closed and he relocated to Burlington, Ontario at the Ball Packaging Plant, where he became a Manager (Boss). He moved home to Nova Scotia in 2006 to be closer to family and friends.
Michael .. what do I say? – you were the true definition of a Downtowner. You were also an expert in everything Dartmouth, pool, blueberries and lumpy potatoes.
His favorite things were plaid shirts, warm beer and a run to Mabou with John on their motor cycles. He loved the gang at Staggers Pub, especially Debbie and the staff.
We will all miss you. Our hearts are broken.
Michael has been cremated. Burial is yet to be determined. If you would like to see the family, we will be having a Celebration of Life at Staggers Pub on Portland Street on Saturday January 18, 2025 from 2 to 4 o’clock.
