1944 – 2025
Michael J. “King” Ahern, 81, of Moncton surrounded by the love of his family, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 7, 2025. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Ahern.
Mike owned and operated Ahern Agencies and was a long-time sales agent, member of the Moncton Elks Club Lodge #229 and Past Senior Counsellor of #758 UCT Moncton. He enjoyed playing a good game of cards, watching NASCAR and socializing with his family and friends.
Mike will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 57 years, Bernice (Cormier) Ahern; his sons, Todd Ahern, Tim Ahern and Trevor Ahern, all of Moncton; his cherished grand-daughter, Viola; sister, Pat Bellefontaine (Jerry); brothers in law, Roger Cormier (June) and Paul Cormier (Joanne); many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday, March 14, 2025 for a Service to Celebrate and Honor Mike’s Life at 1:45 pm. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, later in the spring of 2025.
