Michael Hatch
1933-2025
It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of
our father, Michael David Hatch of Red Head Cove, on February 12,
2025, aged 91 years.
Predeceased by wife, Catherine Frances; parents, Thomas and Margaret
Hatch;
parents in law, Frank and Florence Stone; brothers, Jack (Alice), and
Timothy (Ann);
sisters: Mary (Herb), Alice (Patrick), Carmel (Alphonses), Elizabeth
(Walt), Gen, and Lillian.
Leaving to mourn, daughters: Doreen (Joe), Audrey (John), Iris
(Danny), and Trudy (Fernando);
grandchildren: Michael (Olga), Johnny (Angela), Daniel (Katelyn), John
(Selena), Dave (Cait), Desirae (Thomas), and Serena (Jake);
great grandchildren: Bella, Wyatt, Grace, Willow, Thomas, Ellie,
Michael, Addison, Quinn, and Sloan;
extended family members and circle of friends.
Thank you to Dr. Nel and the staff of Wilkinson Memorial Health
Centre, Old Perlican for their care over the years, the staff of
Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear for their care during his
frequent visits there, the staff of Kingsway Living, Old Perlican for
his care while a resident there, and the staff of the Private Josiah
Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear for his care there as a
resident.
Cremation has taken place.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation.
Funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 1:30
pm. from Hopkins’ Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican.
Following the service, in keeping with the wishes of both Michael and
Catherine, they will be interred together in the Roman Catholic
Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
