It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merna Faye Esdale (née Wilson) surrounded by her loving family at Cornwall Hospice on Wednesday, February 25th, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife for 58 years of Earl Esdale. Loving mother of Wendy Grant (Keith), Greg Esdale (Cindy) and Glenda Davidson (Adam). Cherished grandmother of Amanda Grant (Mitch), Taylor Grant, Jake Esdale, Sarah Esdale, Abby Esdale, Ashton Davidson and Maddie Davidson and great-grandmother of Edie Browne. Merna will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Mary Wilson (née Carson) and by her brothers Don Wilson (Myra) and Ken Wilson (Bev).
Merna’s family warmly invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888 on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025.
