Melissa Belland Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa on Monday, January 13, 2025 in the Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec at the age of 45.
Beloved daughter of Gilbert “Punch” Belland (Cheryl Plath) and Claudette Ranger. She will be missed by her brother Denis (Josée Periard), half-siblings; Bradley Belland (Cass Soucie) and Bryanna Belland (Jacob Chénier). Predeceased by her brother Gilbert Jr. She leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Melissa was well known and liked by all who knew her, especially with her beautiful smile that lite up any room. No matter where she was, Melissa was smiling. Her favorite pastime was watching movies, listening to music, especially Shania Twain. She loved outings and going shopping.
The family wish to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, Natalie Mousseau and Jody Jewell Residence, along with the staff, for the amazing care provide during Melissa’s wonderful 15 year stay. Also, we are so grateful to the Pontiac Community Hospital long term team for providing such attention up to the very end.
Melissa fly high with your butterfly wings and your beautiful smile, you will be missed dearly, my beautiful angel, keep shinning down on us and you will never be forgotten.
A graveside service will take place at a later date.
