Peacefully and surrounded by family, May Elizabeth Margaret Guimond (nee Dean) passed away at the age of 72 years on December 29, 2024 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
May was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba to parents Leo Dean and Ida Dean. She attended Powerview High School and went on to marry Phillip Guimond. Their union produced two children. She was predeceased by her husband Phillp. May would go on to give birth to her third and final child with a new partner in 1982.
May worked in the field of hospitality for a number of years before being forced into retirement for health reasons. She loved cats, bingo, her friends and her family.
May is survived by her brothers Lester, Spud and Dennis, sisters Florence and Gale, children Patrick, Odette and Joey, grandchildren Jake, Charmony and Leo as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue in Winnipeg. Lunch will be provided after the service.
