Maurice’s Obituary
Maurice Joseph Boudreau – Age 83. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father on December 27, 2024, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. He was born in Wedgeport to Delphis and LucyAnne Boudreau on March 27, 1941, where he lived his entire life.
A man of strong Catholic faith, he was actively involved in the church and community volunteering with various organizations, especially the Knights of Columbus where he was member for over 50 years and a 4th degree Knight. He worked at the Wedgeport Co-op then with A.L. LeBlanc Limited as a salesman travelling the various tri-county areas until his retirement. An outspoken man in his younger years, he was a man of few words in his later years.
Mom and Dad met as teenagers. Married for over 56 years they were together for nearly 67 years. They lived in the home they built together, where they raised us girls, and where Mom took care of Dad for the past few years until Christmas Day when he was admitted to the hospital. We are grateful that Mom was by his side when he passed. Dad was very proud of us girls and was an adoring Pépère to his grandchildren, always beating us to a game of crib.
He is survived by the love of his life, Rose Marie; his daughters Melissa (Rob) Jenkins and Angela (Brian) Comeau; grand children Matthew Jenkins, Mason Jenkins and Alyssa Surette. His siblings Leonard (Shirley), Julia (Jim) and Franklin (Donna).
He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother Evelyn and brother Gary.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Wedgeport. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. all in Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating.
