It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Matthew Lunardo on December 30, 2024, at the age of 34. Matthew was a beloved son, brother, grandson, companion, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, laughter, and warmth.
Matthew was born on May 24, 1990, to his loving parents, Paula Siraco and Domenic Lunardo. He was the cherished brother of Mario Lunardo (Shani McPherson) and the devoted companion to June Wang. Matthew will also be greatly missed by his grandparents Assunta and the late Mario Lunardo, and Domenico and Aldina Siraco, who held a special place in his heart.
In addition to his immediate family, Matthew is survived by his aunts and uncles, Teresa (George Vago), John and Cindy Siraco, Lucy (Don Bennett), and Frank and Mary Lunardo, as well as many dear cousins and extended family members, all of whom will forever remember his generous spirit, infectious smile, and the joy he brought into their lives.
Matthew’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will continue to hold him in their thoughts and prayers. His sudden passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love and laughter will remain with us always.
Visitations have been entrusted to DeMarco Funeral Home – Keele Chapel, (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario) on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jane Frances Catholic Church (2747 Jane Street, Toronto, Ontario) on Friday, January 3rd, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass, an entombment ceremony will be conducted at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario).
