Mrs. Mary Pieters formerly of LaSalette, passed away at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in her 98th year. Mary was a faithful Member of the LaSalette Catholic Women’s League for over 75 years. She was an avid card & bingo player. Former Mary Leona DeGroote. Beloved wife of the Late George Pieters (1993). Loving mother of Terry (2020) (Cindy) and Lonney. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Sjoerdtsje), Tracie Roberts and Justin (Susan) and great-grandmother of Alisha, Jamie, Tyler, Allysa, Brandon, Neveah, Zoey and Erin. Dearest sister of Elsie Waeyaert (Cyril 2005), Joseph (2000) (Rosella 1990), Edward (1995) (Simone 2013), Flue (2017) (Netcha 2015) and Tony (2003) (Kay 2001 & Dorothy 2012). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents Raymond (1964) and Irma (Catelin) (1972) DeGroote. Friends may call at the Our Lady of LaSalette Historic Church, 88 La Salette Road, on Monday, February 3, 2025 for Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Our Lady of LaSalette R.C. Cemetery. Donations to the LaSalette Area Rural Roots can be made through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
