Obituary of Mary Caruana
At Valleyview Nursing Home, St. Thomas, on Thursday, January 23, 2025 Mary Caruana, in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Anthony Caruana (1997). Beloved mother of Carmen Gentile (Late Joe), Pauline Wood (Bob) and Martin Caruana (Sandy).
Proud grandmother of RoseMarie Goncalves (George), Jennifer Sauro (Vic), Anthony Gentile (Michelle), Stefano Gentile (Marianne), Cynthia Castelhano (Rui), Jason Ellul (Lisa), Tanya O’Dea (Ed), Wendy Duarte (Rui) and Lyn Caruana. Great-grandmother of Ashley Sauro, Vanessa Sauro, Matteo Gentile, Christiano Gentile, Marco Gentile, Mario Goncalves, Decia Castelhano, Giulia Castelhano, Gianluca Gentile, Jared Ellul, Jacob Ellul, Kurtis Ellul (Amy) and Kaleb Ellul-Barnes. Great-great-grandmother of Maya Ellul, Mikayla Ellul and Madison Ellul .
The family would like to thank the Walbash Line Staff at Valleyview Nursing Home, Crystal Thompson at Closing the Gap and Laura Ladouceur, Lesley Lachford and Pam Buys form the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners for their support and compassion provided to Mary and her family, during this painful journey.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Prayers at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd, on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10:00am. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
