Mary Patricia Bird Obituary
Mary Patricia Bird (nee Moody), aged 92, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Garden Terrace in Kanata.
Born on January 11, 1933, in Toronto, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Bird, and by her wonderful sister, Barbara Ferguson. She was a devoted and loving mother to Michael Bird and Lisa Keyes, a cherished grandmother to Rose Keyes and Christopher Keyes and a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Mary was an avid curler and golfer, and she enjoyed the friendships and challenges that came with the game of bridge. She was also deeply committed to volunteer work, giving generously of her time to support causes and organizations close to her heart.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the warmth she extended to all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the compassionate and amazing staff at Garden Terrace in Kanata for their exceptional care during Mary’s stay and in her final days.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Trinity House in Gananoque on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join together to honour Mary’s memory, share stories, and celebrate the profound impact she had on all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace.
