The death occurred peacefully, at the Toronto General
Hospital, Toronto, ON, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, with her loving
husband and daughter by her side, of Mary Joanne Perry, beloved wife
of Tommy Perry, of Tignish, age 65 years. Born at Toronto, ON, on
November 14, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary
Annie Mae (nee Doucette) LeClair.
Loving mother to Jenny (Brandin), of Crapaud. Cherished Meme
to Sonny, Eddie, and Max. Dear sister to Timmy (JoAnne) LeClair, of
Toronto, Norman (Vera) Bernard, of Kildare, and Laurie Anne
(deceased). Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Jean Perry, of
Tignish, Tish Bullock, of Boston, Mass., Nola (Bloise) Rennie, of
Dock, Marcella Perry, of Tignish, Antoinette Perry, of Tignish,
Barbara Perry, of Charlottetown, Anita (Ivan) Sandy, of Calgary.
Joanne will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and
by her many friends and acquaintances.
She was predeceased by her parents Eddie and Mae LeClair, her
sister, Laurie Anne, her father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Anne
Marie Perry, and by brother-in-law, Bill Perry.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Visiting hours Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral on Saturday
morning February 22nd from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for
funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Tim Broderick, celebrant. Interment
later in the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorials in Joanne’s memory
made to the PEI Lung Association would be gratefully
appreciated.
