Mary Idella Lantz

Mary Idella Lantz, 90,
of New Ross, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2025 in the
Shoreham Village Continuing Care Facility, Chester. Born in New Ross,
Mary was one of four children of the late Harry and Eliza (Wentzell)
Lantz. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
siblings, Betty (Arnold) Broome, Earle (Joyce) and Clayton. She was
the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by
sister-in-law, Lulu Lantz, Kingston; many nieces, nephews, cousins and
extended family. Mary was a long time and faithful member of the New
Ross Baptist Church. She was active in many groups within the church.
Mary was well known for her love of knitting, many socks and sweaters
gifted to those around her. She had a strong love of music and had a
very large collection. Cremation has taken place and no visitation
will be held. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in the New Ross Baptist Church, Reverend
Rick Small officiating. For those unable to attend the service, a
video webcast will be available by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23,
2025. Interment will take place in the New Ross Baptist Cemetery, at a
later date. Donations in memory may be made to the New Ross Baptist
Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
