In Loving Memory of
Alejandro “Alex” Antonio Martinez
April 16, 1976 – February 21, 2025
It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Alejandro “Alex” Martinez. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends, including his nephews Santiago, Aspen and Linden, his brother-in-law Sheldon and his best friends Kelly and Fernando. He departed peacefully at home alongside his loving mother, Graciela and sisters Aida and Ana Alejandrina on February 21, 2025.
Alex was deeply loved by everyone who got to know him. His work family at Viking Recycling were an integral part of his life as they shared many special moments both at work and outside of work. Prior to joining this team, he enjoyed a career as a dental technologist in the GTA.
He spent his life caring for everyone until his last breath. His passion for soccer and other sports was contagious and he leaves a legacy of his exceptional skill and ability to teach and mentor in his nephews Aspen, Linden and Santiago.
May his life be celebrated and honoured by all of us who were blessed to have loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held for Alex on Saturday March 1, 2025 from 3 – 5pm in the Magnolia Room of St. John’s Dixie Chapel (737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga).
