Obituary of Marsha Ellen Graham
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Marsha Ellen Graham of Woodmans Point, who left us on April 5, 2025. Born on March 13, 1947, Marsha spent her entire life in the community she adored, surrounded by family, friends, and the laughter she brought to every gathering.
Marsha was predeceased by her beloved husband Carman, her son Casey, her brother Jomie, and her sisters Lynn and Carole. While her family circle has changed over the years, her love for each of them never wavered.
To know Marsha was to know a force of nature—small but mighty, full of sass, spunk, and an endless supply of love. Her world revolved around family. Whether she was raising her own two boys, opening her heart and home to the neighbourhood kids, or sharing a laugh over a game of cards, Marsha made everyone feel welcome.
She was a woman of many passions: an avid curler, a fierce broomball and baseball player, and a die-hard Elvis fan. From movies to music, if it was The King, it had her heart. In fact, when she and Carman first started dating, her father Harold insisted her brother Peter tag along to those Elvis drive-in nights as a chaperone—a memory that brings a smile.
Marsha also had a deep love for cooking. Feeding people was one of her greatest joys, and she made it her full-time career for many years. Whether it was a home-cooked meal at the table, a dish shared at a community gathering, or a treat whipped up just because—Marsha’s food was always made with heart.
Marsha had a wicked sense of humour and was never above a good practical joke or a water fight. Her energy lit up every room (and every ball field). Alongside working full-time and raising a busy household, she and Carman also ran a butcher shop on the family property. And if you were lucky enough to receive one of Marsha’s famous Swizzle sticks, you knew you held a special place in her heart.
She and Carman shared a love of travel and spent countless summers at the Gaspereau, Carman’s family homestead, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Marsha is survived by her loving son Travis (Betty) Graham, and her treasured granddaughters Jessica and Maddie Graham. She also leaves behind her brothers Gary (Carol) Logan and Peter (Christine) Logan, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly.
Her spirit—fierce, funny, and full of heart—will live on in every laugh shared around the card table, every Elvis tune played a little too loud, and every memory made on a summer night.
In keeping with Marsha’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. However, relatives and friends are welcome to attend an Open House, which will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at 22 Campbell Road, Woodmans Point. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program, ALS Society or Canadian Red Cross.
