Obituary For Mark Dwayne Ducharme
Mark Dwayne Ducharme, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Prince George, B.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 46 years.
Mark was born in Prince George, however he lived in Grande Prairie for most of his life. He fell in love with hands on work at a young age, and he found himself climbing ranks in his career quickly. His last job was as a boom hand in the oilfield industry.
Mark was selfless, generous, optimistic, family oriented and hardworking. He would give the shirt off his back to assure you were okay.
Music was a big part of Mark’s life; his favourite genres being metal and rock. He also enjoyed playing his guitars and going on spontaneous road trips. Mark especially loved spending time with his family; he loved watching movies and laughing with them.
Mark will be deeply missed by his significant other, Candace Bryce; daughter Morgan Ducharme (Matt Friesen); grandchildren: Maria, Grace and Lennox Friesen; nieces Kayla Cardinal and Jayda Parenteau; great-niece Autumn Parenteau; as well as his mother Hazel Ducharme.
Mark was predeceased by his father Edwin Ducharme; his three siblings: Morgan, Merle and Carmella; as well as a nephew Brett Parenteau.
A Viewing will be held for Mark on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 3:00 pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 – 107 Ave).
A Memorial Service will follow on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at 10203 -106 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB.
