Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the families of the late Marjorie May Perry Lang announce her sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on February 17th, 2025 at the age of 94 years, with her daughter Linda and granddaughter Daphne by her side.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; daughter Linda Byrne (Cecil), son William Perry (Rose), daughter Jean Bursey, daughter-in-law Heather Perry, sister Judy Ruth (Clifford). 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Garfield Perry, her second husband Hedley Lang, son Tony Perry, sister Marie Forsmark. Parents Ethel and Arthur Purchase.
Marjorie grew up in Hampden, NL, then moved to Corner Brook where she met her husband Garfield Perry of 45 years. Together they raised four children, living in Pynn’s Brook for a few years before they moved to Deer Lake where they resided the rest of his life.
Before her death Marjorie resided at the Deer Lake manor for two and a half years. We would like to the manor and staff for taking such good care of her, she always fondly talked of the staff. Family would also like to thank the staff that attented to her at Western Memorial Hospital. A special thank you to her granddaughter Kimberly for being there when called upon when she needed her. Her granddaughter Melissa for her visits to the hospital, sister Judy and Husband Clifford for their regular visits to the manor.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main St., Deer Lake. Also from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2025 at 2 pm with Mr. Terry Drover officiating. Interment will follow at the United section of the Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Rd., Deer Lake.
