Mario Ninassi
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mario Ninassi announce his passing on Sunday, March 2, 2025, just shy of his 99th birthday. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Mario is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters, Maria Enders, Manuela and Monique; granddaughter, Meagan (Kal); grandson, Scott (Laney); great-granddaughter, Reya; and great-grandson, Sebastian. He was predeceased by his parents; two siblings; and son-in-law, Cam Enders.
Mario was a loving husband, devoted father and Nonno. He loved spending time with his family and friends, was an avid gardener, travelled well and loved playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in Emergency and Unit 17 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to a charity of one’s choice.
